ROULETTE

In the course of two or so hours, Roulette is a story told through music and technology.

 

 

Roulette takes place in 2045 on a planet exactly like ours that has evolved in almost exactly the same way. 

 

This future includes the funding of projects based on algorithmically measured popularity, measured through upvoting and direct user impulse.

 

 

Roulette is the tale of two bureaus:

 

In the first act, we see an example of a well-funded organization that happens to assist in coordinating digital sex experiences online.

 

In the second, an independent politician interested in reshaping the moral fabric of societal norms attempts to bring the aforementioned organization to a halt by exposing its potentially morally corrosive nature. As a twist on this common arche-typical mask, this antihero is attempting to promote something universally known, that touch is one acceptable form of connection. He undoubtedly suffers from an egoic shadow on his understanding, that in the current consciousness around connection, touch is only that, one form.

 

Through the work of the bureau, and out at the club, we meet  Baby, our protagonist.

 

Baby  is being observed by the bureau in Act I as they search  for sex online. 

 

In the end, Baby flips the script on the politician in a final, earth shattering ejaculatory emission.
